Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studie

Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies belongs to the top of the Brussel think-tanks. It was founded in 2007 as a Foundation of the European People's Party (EPP). It organizes the economic conference called Economic Ideas for Europe annually in the capital cities of the EU. Following London, Madrid, Dublin and Helsinki, the management of Martens centre decided to organize the prestigious konference for the first time behind the Iron Curtain and chose Bratislava as the venue. The conference organization was entrusted into the hands of Hugo Bach.
The President of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska belonged among the main speakers of the conference, followed by the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies President, Mikuláš Dzurinda, the American Ambassador to the EU Anthony Luzzatto Gardner, the Portuguese Minister of Employment Pedro Mota Soares, former Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis, former Minister of Finance Ivan Mikloš, but also the German State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Steffen Kampetter. The conference program was streamed LIVE on the web martenscentre.eu. The scene was supplied by the company Tajpan, catering by the company Roxy Cattering.
